ORANGES AND LEMONS

“Oranges and lemons” say the bells of St. Clements,

“You owe me three farthings”, say the bells of St. Martins...........

Inspired by the above nursery rhyme, this pretty necklace may well get you singing those nursery rhymes again.

A small tree is impressed into fine silver and if you look carefully you will see that some of the fruit of the tree is highlighted with yellow or orange resin. A subtle effect - but gives a nice idea of oranges and lemons! It looks just like one of those citrus trees you see in an orangery in a stately home in England.

The necklace is approximately 4cm by 2cm and is supplied on a 40cm or 45 cm (16 or 18 inch) sterling silver chain.

WATCH THE BIRDIE

A sweet, simple necklace. Perfect as a gift for a bird watcher or photography lover.

Hand crafted in fine silver, the necklace is comprised of a little word tag saying "watch the..." and then there is a hand sculpted fine silver little birdie.

They are hung on a 16, 18 or 20 inch silver colored chain. Part of my "birds with words" series.

THE SECRET GARDEN

Remember the delightful book ......

A lovely silver garden gate hangs from this bookmark...then you have to "open" the gate to enter the garden and see all the flowers! The back of the bookmark shows roses, climbing up over the gate.

A perfect gift for a man or woman who loves their garden, and reading a book.

The gate is 1 inch tall and 3/4 inch wide and is made of fine silver. The bookmark itself is silver plated and 3.5 inches tall. It hangs nicely in a book.

ANYONE CAN RIDE A HORSE

The latest in my "anyone can" series - this time, anyone can ride a horse - even if it is only a hobby horse. Did you have a hobby horse when you were growing up? Is that what you called it or is that an English phrase?

My husband was going to a meeting the other morning and he said "I must remember not to get on my hobby horse about..." - meaning not get carried away about something - and then it came to me! Anyone can ride a horse!

So here is anyone, sitting proudly on his little horse.

Anyone and the horse are 1 1/2 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide. They hang on an 18 inch stainless steel chain.

Just a perfect necklace for all those horse lovers.

MOM'S SILVER LARIAT

A lariat style necklace with three silver charms to remind you of your children when they were young.

The three charms are a train, a rocking horse and a little bunny. The train is attached to the lariat and hangs freely down (but doesn’t go through the lariat ring. The other two charms are attached to the lariat ring.

The chain length is 26 inches and the rocking horse and bunny hang down 1 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 inches each.

Perfect gift for mothers or soon to be mothers.

I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT

"I’m a little teapot, short and stout, here’s my handle, here’s my spout
When I hear the teacups, hear me shout,”Tip me up and pour me out”

Remember the song when you were growing up and all the actions too? Well here is your perfect hand sculpted fine silver teapot as a necklace. It is solid fine silver (.999) and decorated with flowers - a single flower on one side, three flowers on the other and then one on the lid. It hangs from it's handle and spout.

The toggle closure is an extra design feature too - it is another teapot with a tiny handle and lid - and a teaspoon!!

The teapot is 4.5cm (1 inch) wide by 2.5 cm by 2 cm. It is supplied on a 50 cm ( 18 inch) sterling silver (.925) chain.

ANYONE CAN RIDE A BIKE

Part of my "anyone can..." series, this unusual necklace shows "anyone" riding a penny farthing.

This necklace is especially meaningful to my sister and I as we never learnt to ride bikes when we were kids! We have both learnt more recently - but are still not confident riders. It's so much easier to learn something like that when you are kid!

Anyone on his bicycle is 5cm tall. He is hand sculpted in fine silver and enjoys hanging around on either a 45cm or 50cm (18 or 20 inch) sterling silver chain.

Wear it and remember that feeling of the wind blowing through your hair when you were a kid and on your bicycle! Wanting to let go of the pedals and handbars and just coast!!!!

THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

This necklace and earrings set tells the story of the Three Little Pigs. One pig built his house of sticks but the nasty wolf came along and huffed and puffed and blew it down. The second pig built his house of sticks but the wolf came and huffed and puffed and blew that one down too. The third pig built his house of bricks and the wolf huffed and puffed but couldn't blow it down.

The houses of straw and sticks are on earrings with pigs with sad faces. The necklace is the house of bricks and a piggy with a happy smiling face!

This set won a competition so I decided not to sell it and keep it for myself! I show it here to illustrate how stories can be "translated" into jewelry! If you have an idea, do let me know
