Two rare birds have just been sighted: a dopey-eyed billasaurus and a bog-eyed bug eater. This is big news in the birding community - and what's even more exciting is that they enjoy hanging around together and rumour has it that they are falling in love... Ahhhh.

These two rare birds are hand sculpted in fine silver with definite character! Each bird is approx 2.5 cm (1 inch) long. They hang on a 30 inch/ 75cm long sterling silver chain. There is not clasp on the chain as it is long enough to put over your head but there is a bar clutch (2.5cm wide) on it which means you can adjust where the chain ends hang so one bird can be above the other, or the same height or however you want it.

As the birds are on a long chain, they can spin and move freely which is ideal as they are three dimensional sculptures so you can see the whole bird.

ANYONE CAN FLY.

Sometimes in life we are faced with difficult challenges and have to let go of certain things to move on...... It's tricky and there is often that one last sticking point that stops us moving forward.....Well this little necklace shows one of my birdies going through just that and inspires us to be brave!

This little bird is just about ready to take his first flight....he's been watching his parents fly....he's spread out his wings........but is still a little nervous, so hanging on tightly with his knocked knees and feet before he makes that all important commitment! - And when he does, he'll let go and then realize that "yes, I can fly"!

The little bird is just over an inch tall (3cm) and has a wing span (!) of just over an inch (3cm). He is hand sculpted in fine silver and hangs on a 16, 18 or 20 inch sterling silver chain.

This design was actually my first "anyone can" piece...before I made my person-like Anyone! Someone just asked for me to make them one, so I made another too, as it's such an inspiring necklace.

BIRD TRACKS

Each footprint square is hand formed in fine silver and then patina is added to highlight the footprint. The bracelet has a soft brushed finish, to represent the ground, mud, sand where the footprints can be seen.

Internal diameter approximately 2 1/4 inches (7 cm) in length. Each square is 3/4 inch (2cm).

The footprints from left to right are as follows:

Northern Flicker; Raven/Crow; Snipe; Duck; Bald Eagle; Canada Goose; Wild Turkey; Great Blue Heron; Sandpiper.

Nate and Kate

Their names comes from N-8/N-eight and K-8/K-eight to remind you of their 8 legs. I put up a poll on my blog to ask my readers which dangly leg animal I should make next in my series and the one that got the most votes was the octopus - and thus Nate and Kate were born!

This cow is enjoying being out side in her field. You could say she is out standing in her field! And therefore, this funny necklace makes the perfect gift for someone who has just made a great achievement - ie job promotion, graduated, passed exams etc etc. A little play on words.
